Bio
Amelia Janae Salter
Amelia Salter is a dance artist based between New York City and Pennsylvania. She is currently completing her final semester at Northeastern University NYC (formerly Marymount Manhattan College)—where she is earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in Modern as well as a Business Management Minor.
Throughout her career, Amelia has choreographed and performed across many states while competing at regional and national levels. Her dedication has earned her numerous scholarships for advanced dance training and performance opportunities.
While living in New York City, Amelia has had the opportunity to train, collaborate, and perform in works by artists including Chalvar Monteiro, Kyle Abraham, Doug Varone, Nancy Lushington, Maura Morales and more.
Her training has been a combination of professors and creators affiliated with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ballet Hispánico, Joffrey Ballet, the Paris Opera Ballet, Bodytraffic, Martha Graham Dance Company and VIM VIGOR, among others.
She has also expanded her artistic perspective internationally, traveling to Berlin for a multi-week professional training intensive that culminated in a sold-out performance.
